My favorite plinking gun is headed in for a little work

So far the painful process has been made easier by S&W, but my baby still needs prayers for a full recovery  :'(

What happened?
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington. Letter to Alexander Hamilton, Friday, May 02, 1783

Total and complete trigger lock up.  It was loaded when it went south, and it took me five minutes to get the slide release to work so I could unload it.

Yes, and at first I thought that was the problem.  However, after getting home I was able to turn it all the way to lock and unlock, and nothing changed.

The problem started with a light strike that I thought was a bad primer, and went south from there.

By Tuesday it will be back in the hands of the Performance Center.

Possible it could still be the lock? Thats right on top of the cylinder release.

What's it look like under the side plate??

Not the lock.  You could tell the difference between having it locked and not.

I didn't even open up the side plate.  It was tight enough I figured I'd sit back and enjoy the warranty.

Never even heard of a revolver locking up before.   :(  FTF because of light hammer springs, but not actually jamming.  NO WAY I'd have been able to resist opening it up just to peek!   ;)
