As soon as I put my full size M&P .40 in my hand, and felt the grip and grip angle ,...(I knew that was it.).

When BHO was elected, I bought my first full size 9mm the day after the election, and the FNP-9 form and action, (I knew that was it).

I bought my G21, because it was a steal with 500rds. of ammo, and 4 high cap mags...BUT, .Grips are slightly too big, it's a railroad tie with trigger, but it goes bang every darn time with all ammo (even wolf).

Your choices thus far are Beretta and the "G"...

Beretta is Beretta. Time tested, battle proven. (I would opt for the .40 instead of 9mm), IMHO, but a great pistol.

So,......since the G22 is your other option....with the Gen. 4 grip options, (copied M&P) you may just have a winner.

Mags and parts, and action upgrades are easily obtained, and there are enough LE Depts. with G22's that swear by them.

Apply the K.I.S.S. Methodology.....The right one may just pick you.

Carried the Beretta in the Air Force. Liked it, but like Tombogon mentioned about cases hitting you in the head is on the money.

Once out of the service, I owned a Smith and Wesson 6906. Got rid of it for a Glock in 1992. Best decision I ever made when it comes to firearms. Have loved Glocks ever since though I do own other pistols.

Full size, battle proven, maybe that is why 60% of law enforcement carry a Glock. Now Federal LEO's are following suit. Goes bang every time and no need for a side safety. Point and shoot.
