Now that you point them out, I did notice that Rule 1 was often mentioned through out the series.  And in situations in which I didn't immediately see it's application.

Towards the end of the series, the setting is a society where the hardest workers are penalized the greatest to support those who do not work at all.  Where businesses are destroyed by forced 'PC" compliance.

The real question is whether the OWS movement was grass roots and organic at the outset, or if it was orchestrated by the establishment.  Further, if it was legit to begin with, how successful has the establishment been at infiltrating and co-opting it, as was done with the Tea Party Movement.  From what I have seen I think there are some very intelligent and well meaning people involved with the protests, but there are also some real clueless idiots.  One example of this was a video of one of the protesters saying that the banks should be printing mountains of money and distributing it to the people.  That guy would do well to read The Creature From Jekyll Island by G. Edward Griffin, and also Human Action by Ludwig Von Mises.  I don't think any of the protesters should be shot because they have beliefs different than mine.

You assume two things.  One is that that guy can read and two, if he can read the facts will mean anything to him.

You are correct about shooting them.  Ammo is to dear.  We can simply stop supporting them and nature take care of it's own.

You are both wrong about not shooting them "because they have beliefs different than mine.".
They are communist subversives who have the stated goal of destroying the principles of free enterprise capitalism, and personal liberty that were the founding ideals of this country. The killing should have begun 45 years ago when the Soviet KGB was financing the anti war movement . Just because they are not driving tanks does not mean they are not "levying war" against the Republic.
As to whether it is a "grass roots" movement, I'll give you a hint, one of the organizers was the head of SEIU.
This is no more "Grass roots", or "spontaneous" than any other communist demonstration.
It, like the rest of the Dem socialist agenda is aimed at creating fear, mistrust, and chaos.

We discussed them moving off to people's properties earlier today.  We figure they will head to someone's house and start on the property.  Since they are a mob with weapons and intent, the property owner would be justified in at a minimum drawing a weapon.  The hard cores might hestitate and continue, but the "hangers-on" will rethink thier position.

Someone was holding up a sign at the rally that said "Where is my bailout."  'Nuff said.

There is no question. The Occupy <fill in the blank> movement was conceived, organized, funded, planned, and initiated by Lerner from the SEIU and one of the founders of the original ACORN - both smug hard-core leftists scumbuckets. If this is an organic movement, I'll eat this computer. However, it is a movement that is making good use of a a lot of useful idiot to look "organic".

Progressives, communists, socialists, foreign operatives, unions, wealthy tyrants (Soros comes to mind) and young idiots are behind this.  The guys on the streets don't have a clue...they can't see they are tools.  The lazy guys get a hot meal and then spout some outrageous BS to impress the pretty girls in hopes of getting laid.  Always we must look beyond the young idiots.

I don't think there is a single testicle behind all of those guys sleeping on the streets and occupying whatever.  The 60's anti-war movement was one big glorious party.  Instead of really "spanking" unruly children they were handled with kid gloves.

Then all of a sudden it wasn't fun anymore.  Ralphi found out you had to be careful or "You'll shoot your eye out."  It was May 1970 and Kent State.  After Kent State the anti-war movement was not so much fun anymore....it got real and the young idiots drifted away from the progressives, communists, socialists and foreign operatives because...hey, you could get your ass killed doing this.  When it got real most of them slinked off.

Well, we have the same thing today with the "occupiers".  A few puppet masters and a lot of willing young idiots.  If it get's real they won't hang....like I said...if you've got 100 guys on the street I doubt there is 1/2 of a pair of balls really willing to stand up to "what they think they believe" when the "fun factor" goes away.

I'm all for 18 year olds being able to vote...if they are in the military.  Beyond military service inclusion, 21 should be minimum voting age.  Why the conservatives kneeled to a blanket 18 year old vote I'll never know....just stupid back then I guess.

Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.
