We just finished the last match of the 3-gun season yesterday. Match focused on speed and drills vs the IDPA style of solving problems and cover (I like the IDPA stuff better...more realistic)
I brought my little Flip video camera out...apparently I didn't show my buddy how to use it very well. He forgot to hit the record button a couple of times, chopped up one stage and then flipped the focus switch to macro (that's why most of these are fuzzy). Also, our timer buzzer broke...that's why you hear the RSO say "beep" in one of them.
Anyway, on the positive,
+ I shot decently at this one...I've improved over the year.
+ My gun handling is smoother and I'm usually shooting smoothly and quickly. (the stage that we didn't record I absolutely was smoking...was fun, multiple room clearing work alternating pistol and rifle)
+ I've figured out my equipment...where to put pouches, slings, etc
On the down side,
+ I made some mistakes (the rifle only drill -- 5 targets 1 shot, 2 shots, 3 shots and so on, change mag, then repeat while reverse the direction). Slow and "choppy" shooting.
+ my mag changes are still not as smooth as I'd like. They feel smooth but the video shows that they aren't. Shotgun especially.
+ Damn I look fat
Anyway, I shot these to critique my own performance and improve over the winter. I'll let you look at them so you can make fun of me.
