As I pulled the above quotes out I said out loud "Good job Chris!  You got your point across to me."

What happened during the last election when the Dems got hunting groups to sign on because the Senator is not after our hunting guns?  Fights intensified between the NRA and other organizations, and even so called like minded people on forums like this went after each other over what is appropriate and what is not.

The U.K. went down the road I recently posted regarding Walter Mitty and the 2nd Amendment.

However, the NRA, of which I am a long standing member and supporter, always has to raise the "imminent threat" of downright gun confiscation to maintain membership and revenue.

I am starting to have a different point of view:

There is a larger and growing percentage of lawful gun owners that pay attention, and have determined, "The door to door confiscations, regulations, U.K. 2.0 just "ain't" going to happen.

They can try. But American gun owners, are pissed off. (As with a large portion of the country that don't even own guns)....The little push, nudge, push, nudge by the gov't regarding gunlaws, rules & reg's, are at an end.

and the famous quote. " We're Mad As Hell, andI'm not going to take it anymore"...is gaining steam. The NRA, God Bless Em', needs fear and touting the anti gun line to ensure membership.

It's gotten beyond that at this point. We are NOT the U.K.....and will not give them up....

I just ran across this the other day.

I was getting an orientation for a new range I am joining and the the Officer of the club conducting the orientation made it clear at the first chance that this is a target shooting club and not a self defense club saying that if you wanted to carry a concealed weapon on the property, it had to be unloaded with an empty magazine.

He was corrected by another member present telling us that it only had to be unloaded if we intended to shoot it that visit, not if we were going to be carrying it and not shooting with it.

The Officer also often made statement about those rifles with the magazines that let you go bang bang bang bang bang or what ever it is that they do with them here.

Was glad there were a few other members/Officers present to counter his attitude.

Got the impression  he'd sell out all the SD/Practical shooters in an instant....probably hunters too because how could you call being satisfied with shots within 3' or 4' at 100 yds anything but useless.

The elitists take away more of your rights with out gun control.
Like I posted in the Walter Mitty thread, Sheep with claws and fangs are still sheep.
What good does it do you to own, possess and carry weapons if you are to damned gutless and complacent to use them unless some punk is threatening you.
The 2A is not about hunting.
It is also about self defense in only a secondary manner.
The purpose of your privately held arms is to kill politicians who would take away your rights and property.
But you sit in front of your TV surrounded by enough guns to equip a platoon while generations of politicians shear you like the sheep you are.

I'd call anything less than four inches at 100 yards useles as well (if I were shooting at 100 yards). However, I've got thirty rounds to walk them in. How many does he have?
