I agree but I think there would be less turnout for Mitt than any of the other Republican Nominees but a long shot!
The same is true in reverse. In '08 I and a whole lot of moderates, and or, non GOP koolaid drinkers turned out to vote No and Hell No! We were sick of W., Cheney and the Neo-Cons. We would have (probably did) vote for Donald Duck. Then there was the liberal base, the anti-war real socialists. They thought BO was the Messiah. Guess what? We were both disappointed. As much as you lot try to make BO into the anti-Christ, he isn't. He's just like W. and Carter, a guy who got in over his head and fubared it. The true believers think he sold them out because he wasn't pure enough (sound familiar?

). The one's who voted "No" realized we bought a defective product. The true believers are feeling betrayed and are in a snit (again, sound familiar?). The rest of us are just back to choosing between bad and worse. None of us are that motivated. You won't see the massive turnout for BO you did last time, nor will you see the massive influx of small contributions from folks who never opened their wallets before.
Frankly, I see it as a tie between BO and any reasonable GOP candidate, and Romney qualifies. Its going to come down to a game of who makes the last last mistake with a slight edge to the challenger, because no one is exicited about anyone who is running, and everyone is pissed off about the current state of affairs. Just my .02.
