1 man fighting for his home is worth 10 Soldiers. He fights with a fury and fever that few will know when he is standing on his own turf. That is why if the SHTF you do not want to be wandering about, you will run into those that are defending the last thing they have and when a man is cornered watch out.

Unless you have the means to totally decimate the AO, it's hard to beat a cornered/motivated individual on his own ground.
