He also has a common sense disciplinary action.

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/unless-you-have-been-shot-at-by-the-taliban-shut-your-mouth-war-is-hell-allen-west-weighs-in-on-urinating-marine-scandal/

Rep. Allen West (R-FL), a former Army lieutenant colonel, sent The Weekly Standard an email commenting on a recent video depicting what appears to be four U.S. Marines urinating on the corpses of Taliban terrorists. The email reads as follows [emphases added]:

I have sat back and assessed the incident with the video of our Marines urinating on Taliban corpses. I do not recall any self-righteous indignation when our Delta snipers Shugart and Gordon had their bodies dragged through Mogadishu. Neither do I recall media outrage and condemnation of our Blackwater security contractors being killed, their bodies burned, and hung from a bridge in Fallujah.

All these over-emotional pundits and armchair quarterbacks need to chill. Does anyone remember the two Soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division who were beheaded and gutted in Iraq?

The Marines were wrong. Give them a maximum punishment under field grade level Article 15 (non-judicial punishment), place a General Officer level letter of reprimand in their personnel file, and have them in full dress uniform stand before their Battalion, each personally apologize to God, Country, and Corps videotaped and conclude by singing the full US Marine Corps Hymn without a teleprompter.

As for everyone else, unless you have been shot at by the Taliban, shut your mouth, war is hell.

Rep. West, who served in both Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom, wrote the email in response to how some U.S. politicians and media pundits have reacted to the Marines’ video. U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, for example, has strongly condemned the actions depicted in the video.

“Anyone, anyone found to have participated or know about it, having engaged in such conduct, must be held fully accountable,” Hillary Clinton said yesterday, calling the incident a “potential war crime.”

The four men in the video were members of a sniper team in a unit that lost seven members in action last summer in Afghanistan, according to Newser.

I will "keep my mouth shut",...but makes perfect sense to me.

Go West.....I wish he were running for POTUS...
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

While this is a pretty clear example of "conduct unbecoming" This is no where near a war crime. Someone needs to educate the Hildabeast on what is going on in the Sudan as an example of war crimes.
I am a member of my nation's chosen soldiery.
God grant that I may not be found wanting,
that I will not fail this sacred trust.

Little visual reminder of what the Greatest Generation endured......and dealt with accordingly.

    Japanese officer beheading American soldier.

For their part, although there is no evidence that American soldiers and Marines returned the favor and beheaded live Japanese prisoners, what happened after they were dead was apparently fair game. Here are a few images of such instances:

Japanese head staked out in front of destroyed position.

Japanese head used as a trail marker.

Japanese head hung in a tree by an American serviceman.

Original Caption: Defense worker N. Nickolson writes to her sweetheart thanking him for his letter and "souvenir." This skull of a Japanese soldier bears the inscription: "Here is a good Jap -- a dead one!"

Just a little history and context.

That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

When I read the title of the post I misunderstood and was prepared to rip it to shreds.
After reading it I will say that I agree in general, Article 15 and letter of reprimand OK.
The rest of it is just BS theater to pacify the sissies and the media.
One thing Col. West got wrong, it was not the bodies of Shugart and Gordon that were dragged through the streets, they disappeared without a trace.
The bodies dragged through the streets were those of the helicopter crewmen.

I was limited by "title" space. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

My point is there has been a political "nanny" mentality, when it comes to unleashing American Military, that degrades morale, and pins down our troops with ridiculous Rules Of Engagement, organized and implemented by bureaucrats, lawyers, and politicians. Including grasseating pacifists at the UN...

Meanwhile our enemy, gives a one finger salute to any ROE's, Geneva Convention, or "proper warfare"....

Those days are long gone.....Yes we should hold the high ground, but not at the expense of jeopardizing our troops or public image in the world...

Our Military, kills and breaks things....not wounds or makes a little mess.

HTFU..

Seems about every time I here West make a comment on a topic of the day, I find myself saying "It's about time somebody said that".
With friends like these, who needs hallucinations!..
