sweet, i will check. i had been having feed problems with my original mags. The old mag springs have lost over a coil's worth of length compared to my new ones. Have you heard anything about mag spring problems on the m&p's?

I have both the M&P9 and the M&P9c and I REALLY like both of them. I haven't had (as yet) any mag problems. They are about 4 years old now and no problems. Of course I try to buy mag or two every quarter or so and rotate them so none of them stay loaded for months at a time.

I did run into issues with the magazine release being touchy. A couple of times while at the grocery store it was depressed and magazine fell out in front of other customers. Embarrassing and went to a Glock 30 SF.
Loved the trigger of the Smith and Wesson M&P. For someone else it will be the perfect pistol.

Also consider XD (with or without "m").
Thing with the Glock is the availability of after market parts.
With Springfield Armory, the deal is the value. I got a holster, 4 magazines, and 2 double mag holders.
