Episode 151: Full Custom
« on: February 16, 2012, 01:33:43 PM »
MB,

Just finished watching this week's episode.  I have to say I was enthralled watching all the custom work.  It's like magic to me that guys like Hamilton Bowen, Bill Laughridge and many others can do such amazing work.  I know what I want to be when I grow up.   ;)

Keep up the good work.

P.S.  Concerning the shooting segment at the end...Ouch!

I can only echo the above comments......
The show is always top notch, but this one was just outstanding. Having two of my favorites in one episode is a big thumbs up!
If money were no object, there are really only two men in these Unites States that I would dearly love to have build me a custom gun: Hamilton Bowen and Bill Laughridge. There's not much on a 1911 that I haven't done myself, but to have a Bill Laughridge 1911 would be my 1911 holy grail. I haven't done a lot of work with revolvers, other than smooth the trigger pull........so to have a Bowen Custom Ruger is definitely on my "want" list. You could ask my wife, and she'd agree that every time I handle one of my Ruger revolvers, the first thing I say when I pick it up is, "One of these days this thing is going to Tenneessee to see Mr. Bowen."

Anyway, enough of my drivel......

THANK YOU, Michael Bane and crew for what you do and for episodes like this. Keep up the good work.
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison
