Not really better eyes, I thought it was loaded when he dropped it, but I thought if I were going to do this would I have more than one round in the gun?

Then I realized what I was thinking and smacked my head against a hard surface.  But I do have my safety glasses-DOH!....BAM!

His name is Richard Davis of Second Chance Body Armor.

He would also put phone books between himself and the vest for some cushioning. I guess this clown missed the memo.  ::)

I think there is a video somewhere of a guy doing something similar but flinching and shooting below the vest.
