Wait for it!!!

On another site where I mostly lurk, someone posted he was on a jury and the foreman - foreman for his 5th time, plus a number of other trials before that, he's retired you see - actually badgered the jurors to get the verdict he wanted. The foreman got the lone holdout on conviction ejected by misrepresenting some comments the juror made. But apparently the lone holdout made his point, and even with the new juror, they were deadlocked, so new trial. Now the defense attorneys want to talk with the holdout.

It happens. Makes you wonder about our so-called legal system, eh?

There is another story this evening that before the jury handed over the verdict they handed the judge a note and asked that he read their statement that they believe Amy did not think she hit a person.  The defense attorney is not saying what he is moving and that his motion will explain everything when it is released to the public, but I am expecting he will let the verdict stand and look for either time served or probation.  I doubt he will push for  a mistrial and go through it all again when you have the jury stating on the record in writing that they believe her.
If I appear taller than other men it is because I am standing on the shoulders of others.
