Obama and the pledge of allegiance

"As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as taking sides." Obama said. "There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression. And the anthem it self conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all. It should be swapped for something less parochial and less bellicose.

I've been trying to find a source for this quote, and it isn't in the SNOPES reference.  The only place I've seen it is on other forums and blogs.  It has the ring of truth to it, and I'd like to believe it, but if it's not true, we shouldn't be spreading it.
