Besides celebrating that bloody coup in France, umpteen years ago, I celebrated my 64th birthday Saturday.
Friday night I went to the last of the summer Glock Indoor League, and won. "A" class by the way is the top third of the shooters. (They also give a plaque for top of the middle third, "B" and the lower third "C".) What pushed me over even one of the 500 shooters was the incredible stroke last month when we did 40 round one handed. (20 strong and 20 week) For some reason I was right on and scored 494.

Saturday I shot in an outdoor Glock Match at River Bend Gun Club (Dawsonville, GA). Of course won't know the outcome for several weeks. Probably not great. I'll run the numbers on my score sheets and compare them with other matches to get an idea of how I might place. It was a beautiful day. When I went to shoot plates, the RO asked if I had 11 rounds in my magazine. I gave him a smile and said, "but there are only 6 plates." He snorted something about famous last words. Okay so, I used a few more than 6 rounds, but I got all 6 every time. One string as short as 4.29. Not world class, or steel challenge level, but okay for an amateur shooting only my third & fourth time through plates.
