Thurs. (Today) Letters To The Editor,..This Is What I'm Up Against Down Here

Today's Scum uh, Sun-Sentinel Newspaper....They are a sharp, and I mean sharp bunch, when it comes to gun stories,...etc,..

Moreover are the residents that stay so attuned to current events...

and get published in Letters To The Editor.

This gun owner wants stricter gun restrictions

Following the shooting in Aurora, Colo., why has the public not heard from the NRA or Mr. Charleston Heston, who had the leading role in the "Ten Commandants" movie and read the one that clearly states, "Thou shall not kill"? That certainly did not apply in the Aurora tragedy or what happened to Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.

All the NRA does is line Republicans' pockets on the hill. I have no problems with gun owners; I am a gun owner. I have an alarm system to protect my home. I pray that I will always – only – fire my gun at a gun range.

However, stricter laws are needed. NRA and Mr. Heston, shame on you.

But you know what, God has a sense of humor. Do unto others as you would have them do unto to you. I am including those beautiful, innocent Americans and their families in my prayers and Rosary.

If the public hears from Mr. Heston, it will be a much bigger story than the shooting in Colorado considering he's been dead for 4 years.  I recently had to get on my soapbox to some gun owning coworkers about gun rights.  It's sad how so many gun owners willingly want to give up their rights.

The NRA has in fact issued statements condemning the recent shootings, but pointing out that it was not guns that commited these crimes, but in fact it was mentally disturbed people who's conditions were ignored by those in a position to do something to prevent such tragedies.

I'm not surprised you are unaware of this since you don't even know that Mr. Heston died in April of 2008.

Perhaps you should think twice before commenting on subjects you know nothing about so that people don't laugh at you for flaunting your ignorance.
