In a move that suggests the Dummycraps really are mentally deficient, the final night of the DNC saw a tribute to veterans featuring Russian warships

The Navy Times saw it like this:

On the last night of the Democratic National Convention, a retired Navy four-star took the stage to pay tribute to veterans. Behind him, on a giant screen, the image of four hulking warships reinforced his patriotic message.

But there was a big mistake in the stirring backdrop: those are Russian warships.

While retired Adm. John Nathman, a former commander of Fleet Forces Command, honored vets as America’s best, the ships from the Russian Federation Navy were arrayed like sentinels on the big screen above.

These were the very Soviet-era combatants that Nathman and Cold Warriors like him had once squared off against.

“The ships are definitely Russian,” said noted naval author Norman Polmar after reviewing hi-resolution photos from the event. “There’s no question of that in my mind.”

As`a proud US Navy vet, I'd kinda like to hear a, "Whoops.. We sure screwed the pooch on that one and we are sorry for the offense."

I don't see anything wrong with this at all.
You have to view it with in the context of the Democratic Party.
Ever since FDR took Progressive party candidate Henry Wallace as his VP  the democratic party has been a haven for communists, declassified KGB documents identify over 300 active, codenamed agents within the FDR/Truman administrations, then there is the Dem support for the Rosenbergs, proven Soviet A Bomb spies, then there is the Dem support for N Vietnam during the war they got us into in the first place, right up to modern times with Obama supporting a known terrorist group (the Muslim Brotherhood ) in their take overs of Egypt and Libya, (which bit us on the ass yesterday ).
It is only logical that the party that has consistently opposed America's best interests would open with a Muslim prayer and honor our enemies.

This wasn't a mistake!  This is the party with access to anything they want.  It was intentional (which I doubt even they are stupid enough to) or so totally inept that it doesn't even rise to the level of being able to blame it on a mistake (my thought).

This is the brain trust we have occupying the Oval Office at  this time.  His support team does not even have the gray matter it takes to say "Hey Navy!  We need the coolest photo of warships you have available for a speakers back drop."

They are just not in the habit of fact checking.  Slap some kind of footage of war ships or what ever up there and go with it.  Pick the most dramatic footage you can find in a 20 min search and everyone will like it.

The best part is the DNC apologized then blamed the vendor.  So nobody at the DNC approved the slides?  If they didn't recognize the type of ships they should have ASKED somebody who did.  The Russian Banner Fleet flag on the sterns of all the ships should have been a hint.  In law enforcement we call that a CLUE.

I wonder where they got the images?

Our government photos, OUR government photos, are public domain, hence one of the easiest places, and cheapest, places to get hi-res military photos.   Use the DOD sites all the time.  The Navy is the best, btw.

But did they pay for these off off iStockPhoto? I quick search shows over 800 photos tagged with the words "Russia + Ship"  I wonder if the USSR has photos on line, and if they're public domain?
