JNevis and I have both repeatedly posted the precise text of the bill.
There is no point in further comment.

So much of what is said in this forum stays in this forum and, seeing what some of the comments are, that is a good thing. But some need to see the light of day. This is one subject that deserves to see the light of day, perhaps in the debates. Here the President is clearly lying to the American people. For the Federal government to have this power is tyranny. What in hell is the Congress thinking? What in hell is the President thinking? We need to tell them what we Americans are thing! Are we gutless?

He's thinking the Constitution does not apply to him.

And yes our leaders in the Senate are gutless, yellow bellied cowards.

Sorry, I'm not sure I understand this particular statement.  You can't get much more "public" than the Internet.  Our words are read by folks all over the world.  Obviously, most of those people don't post comments but I couldn't even begin to guess at the number of people this forum reaches... 100K, 500K, a million?  With the popularity of the Outdoor Channel's programming and MB's weekly podcast, this website and forum are widely promoted to say the least.

Our Senators...
Even my conservative stalwart, Jeff Sessions supports this thing, and all the PATRIOT Act business that didn't need to be passed to do what we needed to do at the time..
I wish that we could figure out how to keep attorneys out of government. Sessions is a former Prosecutor, and that's how he looks at everything. At the same time, for all the rhetoric from him about liberal judicial activism, he gives a pass to every nominee that Obama puts up, it seems..
It gripes my butt..

What he means is that the only ones who read the thoughts posted here already tend to lean our way, it is essentially "preaching to the choir", when some of it should be screamed from the rooftops and drummed into the heads of every citizen over the age of 4.
