Watched Rapid Fire Tonight

I watched Rapid Fire tonight and thought it was a fair to good show.  I don't know anything about the workings or production of a TV show.  I imagine it is quite difficult.  My comments may sound harsh but I did find the show entertaining but not as impressive as Gun Stories.

My criticism is that it seemed to lack focus.  Is it a show about the guns?  Is it a competition show?  Is it a shooting exhibition? Is it about Iain and Mike? 

I was pleasantly entertained so I will keep watching.  It is better than most stuff on TV.

It reminded me of "Top Shots" spin-off called "Top Guns" that aired on H2.  Informal competition spiced up with a little info about the weapons involved.  I can't judge the show after just one episode... I will keep watching.

Two outstanding firearms in live fire and you couldn't focus?!? 

I had the laptop on my lap doing some job hunting and I didn't miss much, just don't tell the wife because I DVR'ed it and want to watch it again 

Good stuff, Mike should have won the 10 at 10 but his six o'clock hold wasn't six o'clock enough.  But I live close to Ian, even applied for a job at Crimson trace, so I am glad a fellow Oregonian won.

I missed it because I had two meetings this evening.  My complaint with Outdoor Channel is that they have reverted to their pattern of down playing gun shows.  Wednesday Night On The Range is almost 50% hunting again.

I'm sure I will catch the show, but during this season it may be December before I catch it.

I like hunting. Don't become reverse  Zumbos. There's plenty of room for the both sides. We like our guns, more power to us.

I don't know if you get Outdoor Channel or not.  The "reserve" one evening a week for shooting shows.  They do run a couple of shows at two in the morning on other nights, but they do not run most of these more than Wednesday.  The rest of the week is hunting and fishing. 

I like them all, but when you only run the majority of shooting shows on Wednesday they should stick to shooting shows on Wednesday evening!

Come on. guys, you know the money is in the hunting shows. How many "shooters" spend gallons of money on camo clothing, tree stands, ground stands, food plots, scent attractants, scent blockers, special soap to block our scent, ad nauseum. That's why all the hunting shows. That's why they are mingled in with the "gun shows".

Turn off the hunting shows and watch a really great gun show, American Guns".       After a couple weeks of that you'll gladly go back the the hunting shows.

Also I watched the first episode of Rapid Fire and will watch again next week but I did find it a bit juvenile. Got to admire Ian Richardson, though, he parlayed a win on the op Shot into a career and country change. COOL!

With that out of the way I will comment that Juvenile can fit well into a wide spectrum of programing that includes highly technical for the real gun geeks, middle of the road for those who plink now and then or carry for SD but are not "gun people" and an entry level show to get younger people interested in guns in a constructive fashion.

If you don't own  TV and don't watch any of the shows why do you find it necessary to comment on what I posted? I don't post here very often and since I can't seem to meet your approval perhaps I shouldn't post in the future. Sorry if I offended your literary sensibilities with my remarks.
