Palm Beach County screws up the ballots, again!

Forget the monkey of Tampa bay. You're off the hook rabbit. Its one of the perks of living Florida. If you get bad press, something even wweirder will come along the next day, and everyone will be too horrified by that to remember. .

Well, here it is.


Remember the "Butterfly Ballot" that caused all the ruckus in 2000? Well, we're back at it. We contracted our ballot printing to a firm in Az.. They sent back a faulty product. Thousands of which have already been mailed. Two problems with it.

One, in retention election for SC judges who are being targeted by the GOP, the ballot doesn't list that they are sitting justices, just the name. That's a problem as people don't know their names, and won't realize they are incumbents, as the law requires.

Two, the freaking things can't be read by scanners. So, we're back to hand reading as many as 60,000 ballots looking for voter intent, just like the hanging chad thing in 2000.
