Sweet Gun Sale
« on: October 14, 2012, 09:40:38 PM »
There's a chain of gunstores/ranges here in Florida, and maybe elsewhere called Shoot Straight. They're generally pretty expensive, but whe they have a sale? Dayum! They've got stainless Smith J frames at $370, LC 9s with laser for $400 and what got my attention was the Smith M@P AR, with sights, for $650. I'd check them out. I don't have the url, but google them.
FQ
PS Their Federal ammo is priced pretty well also. Its $239 per thousand for 9mm $350 for .223.

I stumbled on the Tampa store several years ago.  Nice people.  Well stocked store with lots of room and lots of clerks.  9mm and .223 were almost none existent up here in Atlanta, but they had pallets of them on the floor.  I went home with two cases of each.

I think they have store in greater Orlando area and over on the east coast as well.

The Tampa store is off I-75 in the SE section of Tampa.  MLK and 301 if I remember correctly.

They have another store off US 19 in Clearwater, too.  Used to be Knights Guns and Range, but they bought the facility and made a number of significant improvements.  Their website is www.shoot-straight.com

They've got Federal 9mm for $240 per thousand now. I am sorely tempted, as I won't have to pay shipping.

I'm seeing more and more of this. Even Cabela's is having a lot of ammo discounts. One of the workers I talked to said they were anticipating a much higher volume of sales this close to the election, and it just ain't happening. Now if Hussein wins that could all change 24 hours after the election. But right now most of the shops are experiencing customer shortages, not gun and ammo shortages like many of them thought. A lot of these people learned their lesson the hard way after the last election. They all ran out and stood in line to buy everything in sight, only to turn around and sell what they bought at a loss on the used market. 6 months after the 2008 election, the market was literally flooded with used AR's.
