I read recently that the Chief of Policia in Detroit issued a statement and put up a billboard that said during the ALCS and now the WS, the policia could NOT guarantee anyone's safety within the city limits of Detroit.

The new park is only about a mile or so north of the old Tiger Stadium.  It's not exactly a pretty place outside the park.  Maybe one of our local Motown residents will chime in on that one.
