As you know, we got the double whammy in Minnesota with the DFL winning back both the House & Senate.  With Governor Duffus and a DFL legislature our State is in trouble - but things will be more fair.  :'(

Tom was just putting a positive slant on it.

Forget about the fact that our military will be gutted. BHO won't use them anyway.
How long before terroists REALLY ramp it up against us? Libya proved to them that there is no consequences for attacking us. So how long before the next 9-11?

I know.  It was a feeble attempt at a joke during tough times.  

I'm much younger than many on here (late 20's), and my cohort appears to be very split with not much in the middle.  I know a lot of happy people today and probably about as many concerned/fearful people.  I don't really know what to expect out of them.  Granted, I'm born and raised Southern and spent a lot of time in academia with a lot of non-Southern imports.  :-\

I also got a brief insight into the voting philosophy of the older generation (older than yall  ;) sample size of 1; so, use sparingly).  I went to the poll with my parents and grandmother.  She wanted to vote for the Democrat because that's whom you're supposed to vote for.  I wonder how many are still stuck in 60's voting philosophy dispite 50 years and our current president.  I doubt it is enough to make a large impact here, but there has to be more.

He has no need for a military.  BHO believes all of his enemies are within.  All of the money slashed from the boys in green will be given to Big Sis so she can keep the Homeland secure.  From within.

I was living on, and believing in the difference. The difference I thought there was between a somewhat majority of us who thought we actually were living in a center right country. That difference does not exist. We are in fact a liberal, left leaning country. And we are now the minority. And it has gotten worse as last night proved.

We've been exposed to 4 years of this total fraud. Along with 4 years of reckless spending, mounting debt, a declining military, and 4 years straight of some of the highest unemployment in this countries history. None of it matters to the majority of voters in this nation. None of it. They proved this by reelecting him last night. All these people want is free stuff, period. And they are now the voting majority.

Obama will make it worse in the next 4 years. Obama Care will now be fully implemented. At a cost of trillions of dollars we do not have. Our national debt will soar to over $20 Trillion Dollars in the next 4 years. Our military will dissolve much like our infrastructure is, with no way of rebuilding it to what it once was. And today's voters approve of all of it. They not only approve of it, they want it. Along with marrying same sex partners, and smoking dope. Women want this government to finance their sex lives, and Obama will be happy to oblige them. All of them. It's all a meaningless bone he'll be more than happy to throw them. All with money that is becoming more worthless by the day. It doesn't matter to these people because they don't have any, and most never will. Because the government they so support will be doing it's best to keep them poor as dirt, and as dependant as a wandering, lost, puppy dog.

There is no way we can reverse this. It's taken too long to achieve this level of dependence, laziness, and irresponsibility. The democrats have been working this demographic model for decades. And they have finally succeeded. In many ways the Republicans have helped them with open borders, and allowing these give away programs to continue. They've done nothing about the schools in this country that are saturated with these liberal, socialist teachers who have been polluting the minds of these young people for decades. The democrats have succeeded in demonizing wealth and success as a bad thing, all the while promoting big government, along with this countries dependency on it, as what is good and right. "A fair shot" they call it.

Now when things collapse these same people will not try to take matters into their own hands, and provide for their own survival. They'll look to the government. Just like they did with Katrina, and like they're doing now with Sandy. "Where is FEMA!" they all chant? Nowhere. And what do the stupid Republicans like Chris Christie do? Hug the guy, and praise him when he shows up for a 5 minute visit. They help the guy get reelected. It's over. It's been coming for a long time and it's finally here. Enjoy what's left of it while it lasts, because it isn't going to.

What the GOP needs to do its take a step back and make the conscious decision of how bad they want to win in four years.  If they can't play Chicago politics like Obama did and want to be "the nice guys" they will continue to loose.  Romney started pulling punches on the economy, Bengazi, and F&F and it cost him.  Like I said in another thread, you couldn't FIND a radio station in Northern VA/DC that even played an ad for a GOP candidate or issue, but every commercial break had at least one ad for Obama.  So much for "battleground VA", not worth the money for an ad or two?
