Revolver Survey

For the wheel gun aficionados out there, do you have more than one revolver?  Single or double action.  What is your favorite revolver?  What make and caliber do you like the best.  Any old, odd, collector, or unusual wheel guns that you have.  What stories do you have to go with them.  Pictures!

I have several revolvers, most are S&W, and all are double action. The one I like most is the one I carry in my front pocket - S&W 649.  I like a steel revolver and I shoot Buffalo Bore 38 SPL +P rounds in it. I find this gun is what I instinctively grab when I go somewhere.

Lets see here, I have the old models of Bearcat, and 22 single six. new model 357 Blackhawk and two of the original model Vaqueros. The first 3 were used "cash and carry" private sale at Gun Shows over several years and the Vaqueros were new from gun stores.

I have two Heritage revolvers.  The .22 combo Rough Rider and the .357 Magnum Big Bore.

While the .22 is what really got the gun bug going in me, I gotta say I like the .357 more nowdays.

Majer, nice Rugers.  Are those factory brass frames?  Nice stag too.

Taking time to think about the answer to my own question I guess I mostly have Ruger single actions.  Both old and new models.  Most from .22-. 45 calibers except .30 carbine and .327 Federal magnum.  Have convertibles in .22/.22mag, .357/9mm. 45 Colt/ .45acp and .32/ .32-20. Would like to get the .30 carbine.  Most recently stumbled on and  picked up an old model .41 mag that I didn't know needed or wanted until I saw the bargain bin price on it.  Any one know where I can get cheap .41 mag ammo? ;D

Have some Ruger double actions also.  Going back to my first handgun, a 4 inch Security Six in stainless when I was 19 35 plus years ago. Love the six series.  I guess i have one of each type of Ruger DA, Redhawk, GP100, SP101, but no Super Redhawk.

A few Smiths also. A K frame I think a pre model 10 in .38, a 17 in .22, a 19 and pre model 27 both in .357  and a 63 in .22.  Love those old Smiths.

Have some old High Standard revolvers in .22.  Double 9, Camp Gun, and The Gun/High Sierra with out the High Sierra markings.  All in .22

Love revolvers and .22s

If I ever figure out the digital picture thing, i'll post pictures.

My only revolver was a Dan Wesson that I dearly miss. Now my only revolver is a NAA mini. There are a few Rugers on the want list but I hardly shoot the guns I have now so I probably won't get them.
