Actually, I'm all for this.  People who freely turn in their guns in exchange for government goodies just proved they are too stupid to own them in the first place.

Instead of destroying the weapons, perhaps they should hand them out free to poor people who can't afford to buy guns to defend themselves and their families. Better than handing them free cell phones and we pay the bill. Then we could see how many of these same guns will be turned in a second time for another Wegmans GC! I know, we could call this "Fast and Furious II" and it will have a better track record of tracking the guns.

People stupid enough to go along with this deserve to be victimized.
In fact, I would go so far as to say the robber or rapist who does victimize one of these sheep is a better citizen than the self appointed victim since they at least comprehend the meaning of "Shall not be infringed".

They've done this for years and in some communities people were turning in real junk that didn't work anyway!  Never changes anything...  The funny thing, Wegmans is one of the most expensive grocery markets I've ever visited!  

Worcester is a real toilet BTW and the home of Kahr Arms, Auto Ordnance, etc...
