Fort Benning, GA
« on: December 21, 2012, 08:54:08 PM »
Well, Rob Jr. just got back from basic at Fort Benning.  He said now he knows why the U.S. Military are the bad asses of the world.  He also said he needed about 48 hours of sleep.
Give me liberty or I'll get my guns and get it myself.

A well deserved rest, too.

Give him a handshake and a hearty THANK YOU for me!!!

I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

I'll wager an awful lot of us on this board are darned proud of Rob Jr.

Give him a "Well done" and a hearty slap on the back from this old Rabbit.

And a Merry Christmas, too.

rob, you obviously are a proud Dad. Where's your son headed next? Adv infantry? artillery? armor? ordinance? Makes me feel old just thinking about it. Best of luck to you and your son. Hooah.

He suprised us by going into to the N.G.  He went to Mississippi State and graduated then up and announced he was going into the guard.  He said he just felt like he wanted to do something to help.  He said all through college he felt he could do more for his country. I'll see him after christmas and find out what his plans are.  He is married with no kids and his wife is in MS State vet. school.  They live in Starkville MS.  So we don't get to see him as much as we would like. He also told me he love his M-16.
