The guy that shot the Firemen in NY had beat his mother to death with a hammer .
It must be the fault of guns that these nuts are loose instead of properly jailed .

That's the problem. They murder and get a few tears in a mental hospital, then back on the the street for the rest of us to deal with. Or they go to prison for 30 years, only have to serve part of it. Then get released back into the real world. Drawing public aid because they can't get a job, or don't want one, continue to prey on honest citizens and now they want to take our right to defend ourselves away. We need to bring back the death penalty! These thugs have nothing to fear from the justice system. They get sent away to spend time with their homies, learning how to prey on us. When they get caught some prosecuter drops almost all of the charges so they won't have to do the job they are paid to do. Cut a deal with the perp, give them half the time they should get. Now is the time to bring back public hanging and give the criminals a reason to fear the repercutions of there actions.

Yes, I'm bitter and cling to guns and religion..

There was a case in Cincinnati where a guy killed someone, was deemed mentally unable to know he did wrong, so, after some treatment, was released again.

He killed again with the same outcome....well, he was going to be put back on the street...The coverage of the case went away so I don't know if he actually was.

My thinking at the time was that if this man could kill at any time because of his mental condition...I don't think he was psychotic, just deficient...that was like leaving a rabid dog loose....anyone he gets near would be wise to shoot him.
