Oh Rahm, what will you think of next...

FTA:

Quote
As of Sunday, police officers are no longer responding in person to reports of a vehicle theft, garage burglary, or crime where the victim is “safe, secure and not in need of medical attention” and the offender is “not on the scene and not expected to return immediately.”

and this gem...

Quote
“It makes sense not to dispatch police for nonsense calls. I just hope we get it right.”

Sounds eerily familiar to Detroit. (they are doing so well BTW),...I'm sure Chicago will follow suit in short order.

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

We have always said that the job of law enforcement is to show up after the fact and take inventory.  Now they don't even want to do that in many cases.  Each day we have one more on the list of why we need to care for our selves, and that law enforcement is going the way of the movie theater, video store, railroad, and post office.

And what do I do when the insurance company asks for a copy of the police report or an incident report number or even if I reported it to the police?  I guess I could tell them that I couldn't drag them away from the donut shop!!!!!  Good luck Chicago!

Back in 2007 we were in a car accident in Chicago.  We were in stop and go traffic on I-90 and were rear ended by another car.  We pulled off  to the side, called 911, and were told that they would not come out.  I said what if we need help, and that was the first they asked if anyone was hurt.  I told them no, but there were two cars with major damage, and the only reason the other car was still there was I had them blocked in.  I was told by the operator to exchange info, and I told her the other driver refused.  "Tell your insurance company your accident report number is XXXXXXXXXXX.

@Richard - Why would you call the insurance company?  You weren't robbed.  Your wealth was redistributed.

@M58 - That sucks, dude.  Reason # 37 bazillion I won't move to that State or city.

No shit, when everyone moves out of those city/states, the lack of income/revenue will force some re-thinking.

You give them the report number the police gave you over the phone.
(Phx hasn't sent out an officer for simple stuff like burglary from a vehicle for a looong time - unless its a REAL slow day)

When will Americans realize the Dem/libs/progressive/marxist/socialist agenda hasn't worked and won't? It just keeps getting better and better, doesn't it?
“As democracy is perfected, the office of the President represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people.  On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last, and the White House will be occupied by a downright fool and a complete narcissistic moron.”  H.L. Mencken, The Baltimore Evening Sun,  July 26, 1920.

1.) Take their guns.

2.) Don't respond when they paid taxes for a police dept., then turn around and require their services.

That isn't what's sad. What is sad is he will win reelection in a landslide. The government of Chicago is bad. The people who live and VOTE there are idiots!
