One Army guy to an Army family - Welcome to the forum.
Good people here.. While I fly far and wide on gun web sites, I have always thought of DownRange as my home.
Hope you get to feeling that way also.

Welcome.

Indeed, welcome locnload, to the gun nut's insane asylum. We are all crazy (about guns mostly) but we mean well. Like most asylums, however, once you are an inmate you have to be declared sane to get out. None of us wants that and we hope you won't either. OBTW, I'm really the only crazy one in here, the others just play at it.

Welcome.....locnload, glad to have you.

This is indeed a rare forum on the interweb......  once you get to know everyone, you'll find we are more like family than anything else....... we can get mad enough to poke each other in the eye about differing opinions, but a minute later offer a word of encouragement or a prayer when needed.
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

Yes, we are just exactly like a family.

Thanks for all the kind welcomes guys. To clarify a few things, Fatbaldguy, I am certified in all five disciiplins you mentioned. RTFM, I was actually Navy, the wife was Army but I love her anyway. Crusader Rabbit, I was Navy Seabees so was landlocked in VN. The only time I spent on a ship was five days on a Merchant Marine cargo ship coming back from Antartica with Operation Deepfreeze". Would love to hear stories and see pictures of your 2008 trip back to the "Happy Valley", have wanted to do that too. Maybe when I retire if Obama ever lets me.   :-\
