I can't believe he's still got more fingers than teeth!, Here in NC, some of the local folk call them cooters and throw them in the back of the truck and eat 'em.

Look for the bubbles...  ;D

People eat them in NH as well, but they don't get them by hand, We have "Snapping Turtles" that will snap a 2x4.

I know.. and even after you cut off their heads.. they will snap and bite you a good 20 minutes later. I put a stick in their mouths so that they can't bite.
 Nasty attitudes..
But I guess if my head was laying in the grass and my body was being skinned and  cleaned.. I might have a crappy attitude too. LOL

When I was a boy growing up in Holland, Michigan, we used to catch the occasional snapping turtle. We would then sell the turtles to the Warm Friend Tavern, the local hotel and dining spot. The Warm Friend would turn them into turtle soup.

But that was long ago and far away. And lots of fun for adventurous young boys. But we did not have to go into stinking dirty water :P to catch the snappers. West Michigan has lots of clean fresh water to this day. ;D

Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and keystone under independence. The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference. - George Washington
