If we were to do that, what exactly would happen?   I am not one to scream, the sky would fall and there would be blood in the streets, but I still have to wonder, what would happen.

No matter what happens unrestricted access to all firearms by all citizens has to be better than unrestricted access to all firearms by only criminals.
