Long overdue R&R
« on: May 13, 2008, 09:14:09 PM »
Taking a 4 day weekend to Mexia Texas, for some overdue fun. Hog hunting at night, fishing and shooting during the day. A few steaks on the grill, peppers, beans, pico de gallo and tortillas. Many cerversas,, and my Buddy is a blues player so some Marshall stack action out in the woods.

Weapons  will be my space gun AR15, my shorty Ar15, My M40 A3, a Model 57 4" revolver and I'm thinking the M1 super 90 may be a good thing.

I've been working 6-7 day weeks for 4 months and I'm ready, not to mention, I turn 50 Saturday :-[

For Jay Bethel, wish you could come on down. I'm taking the Jackson flying V and maybe the ES 345. We play Texas blues, Clarence Gatemouth Brown, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Pee Wee Crayton, Albert Collins, and John Lee Hooker  type stuff. Maybe some
George Thorough Good. 1 bourbon, 1 scotch and 1 beer.

Good travels and fun.  Happy B-Day!

Happy Birthday! I wish I COULD get down there- it sounds like fun, day, night AND sittin' around the Marshall stack telling blues tales. I've got a daughter's wedding coming up in early June that has me swiping crackers from the "honor box" at work for lunch, though. Maybe someday I'll be crashing everyone's parties and vacations! Just cruise the country in a Winnebago going from party to party.
I got the blues as my companion.
