Given the cost of ammo, I think a warning shot is unnecessary and excessive.

Oregon used to be a nice place to live.  The popular expression at the time was, "Don't Californicate Oregon."

Medford appears to be the bastard child that results when Californication is allowed to occur.

Some of us are working hard to keep it a gun friendly state.  I have a Political Leadership class on Sunday, which the Mrs. isn't too happy about because of work related travel, on working within the political system to get things done.
