"Can We Put The Guns Down And Talk?".....Professor Christopher Swindell, Marshall University.

Seems this Marshall University Professor now has the "runs" after calling for firing squads and artillery to "take out the NRA" for treason.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3026633/posts

snips....

Here it is. The NRA advocates armed rebellion against the duly elected government of the United States of America. That's treason, and it's worthy of the firing squad.
The B.S. needs a serious gut check. We are not a tin pot banana republic where machine gun toting rebel groups storm the palace and depose the dictator.

We put the president in the White House. To support the new NRA president's agenda of arming the populace for confrontation with the government is bloody treason. And many invite it gladly as if the African-American president we voted for is somehow infringing on their Constitutional rights.

Normally, I am a peaceable man, but in this case, I am willing to answer the call to defend the country. From them.

To turn the song lyric they so love to quote back on them, "We'll put a boot in your ---, it's the American way."

Except it won't be a boot. It'll be an M1A Abrams tank, supported by an F22 Raptor squadron with Hellfire missiles. Try treason on for size. See how that suits. And their assault arsenal and RPGs won't do them any good.

****

Anyway,....he is now about to lose his job, (although highly unlikely in the faculty lounge of academia).... BUT, he has apologized, and now writes a condescending slant hoping to "put our guns down and talk,...."

Uh,...F-You, Not just no, but hell no.... Here's his whiney capitulation,....or not....

First, though, a clarification. I remain deeply skeptical of people amassing weapons against a coming Obamageddon. I fear they may bring on the very conflict they appear to salivate for. And running around saying the sky is falling is pretty close to criminal behavior because it threatens civil society. Yet, many commenters reminded me they are harmless, help-their-neighbors, salt-of-the-earth people. To them, I apologize for the offense. You're right to be concerned.

In my fear, I confess I want them disarmed, somehow. But, we have so many other things to worry about, crumbling roads, sewer lines, even basics like clean water. So, can we put our weapons down, the NRA its conspiracy talk, and me, my angry pen, and compromise?

****

Got rope? Tar and Feathering still has appeal......I don't Facebook, by choice, but his page is a Communist manifesto of Obama loving support. Read the comments to his "apology".

Sure am glad hard earned money is paying his ongoing salary to indoctrinate young minds....and uh,.....Can some of you lend me some extra RPG's,...I haven't gone to Wal-Mart yet to stock up.... :P

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

His whole argument is shot down by the last line .

"And their assault arsenal and RPGs won't do them any good. "

With examples like Afghanistan , Iraq, or Syria it can be pointed out that they seem to work quite well .

All those years teaching minds full of mush and now everyone knows this guy is  not only a coward, a weasel and a twit but he's also a ignorant inept idiot!  Sit at my table and tell me how we can compromise and ignore the man with the tar and feathers he means you no harm, only humiliation.  But that gentleman with the noose, he you should fear for he counts your minutes left on this earth.  You may be able to convince , no what's the word you libtards use-ah...yes, reach a compromise him for a few more cherished moments here on earth.

Ef'ing IDIOT!

Let's see if I've got this straight ?
The people who hate guns, know nothing about them, and (rather significantly ) don't own guns are going to line up and shoot all the people who do ?

Let me know how that works out .

This guy isn't  worth talking too or about. He exercised his 1A rights. I don't want him fired or tarred and feathered. In a free society he can say what he wants. In a free society I can own guns. Neither of us have to like the other's choices, we just have to live with them. Though I would like to have a very brief conversation with him. Just so I can ask him where I can go to buy an RPG. ;D

Maybe.... But NO!  Anyone that calls for my family, friends and my own death is not someone that gets a pass.  He is another one of those people that need to be destroyed professionally, personally and politically (this kind of stunt is sure to get the attention of the current Regime).  An example needs to be made and since the spotlight is on him there is no better time than now.

Isn't it  a bit hypocritical to be absolutist on the 2A (shall not be infringed) and then want to hammer this guy for using the 1A (Congress shall make no law)? As we say all time on this board, the Bill or Rights isn't an ala carte menu. Its all of it or none of it. Ignore this idiot. The guys a douche. There are millions of them. Move on. Because remember, if we call for his head, the spot light will be on us and people will think (correctly if we do this) that we're no different than him in only caring about our favorite amendments, not the BOR as a whole.

I can no more make threats with the 2A than he can with the 1A, correct?  Menacing vs. making terrorist threats.  The guy may be one of a million but if he is pilloried while he has his 15 minutes of shame maybe, just maybe, we can convince a small percentage of the millions to change their tune just a little toward the right and take the culture with it.  No shrug policy. I ain't shrugging and its time that they feel some pain for their action, like a toddler and the hot stove.

Count me out. I'll rebut him and argue against him, but to try to get a guy fired for using his Constitutionally protected rights just because he said something we don't like is too close to suspending a kid over a pop tart and the PC police for me to want any part of it.

I would encourage all asshats like this guy to exercise their 1A rights loud and proud. It makes it easier to recognize them for who and what they are. That way I know who to ignore next time they run their mouth.
