Whaddya' think?
Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.

Good!  A win for self defense. I'm expecting a civil filing coming soon.

Same here.  Every gun owner and CWP owner should expect some serious scrutiny over the next month.

VERY GLAD TO SEE THIS OUTCOME! ;D You can count on the civil lawsuit, I'm waiting for civil unrest from the DOJ hired goons the DOJ sent down there with our tax dollars to incite civil disobedience.

No civil suit in Florida. If its SD then the victim/family can't sue.
PS, does someone know how to merge this thread with the one in the café section?

Just me drinking a couple of celebratory beers and laughing at the anti's getting their asses handed to them twice in a row. Best part? The judge ordered the evidence released. So Monday GZ can go pick up his gun (sad thing is he's going to need it, and if I were him I'd upgrade from a keltec speedy quick).

Thanks! Glad to hear. I don't have much in the way of reliable up to date news. Just trying to decide to stay put in a very rural but potentially turbulent town or bug out to a safer area.  :-\

I believe the Not Guilty verdict makes him immune from civil prosecution, unless they can prove "breach of legal duty". That seems unlikely here.

"Martin's family can still file a civil suit against Zimmerman under Florida's Wrongful Death Act, which requires proof that Martin's death was caused by the negligence of another person or entity. To prove negligence under the statute, it must be shown that Zimmerman owed Martin a legal duty, that the duty owed was breached, and that an injury was caused to Martin by Zimmerman's breach."

Hi;

     The Home Owners Assn already settled long ago on this thing for 1 Million dollars. I wonder if they have regrets doing the settlement prior to any decision in the court trial ?
