I don't know Solus. Jimmy carter was plenty smart, I mean hell he had a grad degree in nuclear physics and they don't hand those out at the door. And yet, he screwed up everything he touched. No plan, just incompetence. Put him in charge of a submarine or a small state and he was fine. Give him the whole country and he was pants at it. Its the Peter Principle. People are promoted to the level of their incompetence. BO and Carter are perfect illustrations. Smart guys who are like small school  college coaches trying trying to run an NFL team. No way that ends pretty.

So you really think BO is trying his best to make the country the best it can be?  A beacon of success for the world to see?...and that he is just so out of his depth he keeps screwing it up and, instead, is tearing it down on many fronts all at once my mistake?

Pretty much any government or corporation. If people do well at their job they are promoted, until they finally find themselves in a position that is beyond their ability and then they get fired (or the Russians invade ). We were smart enough to fire Carter in 1980, I have no clue what the hell happened in '08, but I will say in fairness that I doubt Romney would have seen a second term had he won.

Yep, pretty much. He believes in multi lateralism and International Law just like Tony Blair and all the rest of the neo-libs and he thinks FDRs New Deal was the cat's arse. He sees Obamacare as our generation's Social Security and his legacy that will get him squeezed onto Mt. Rushmore. He wants to leagalize illegal immigrants both because he buys the moral/emotional arguments, and because he knows that if he succeeds the Dems will own non-Cuban latinos the way they do blacks. I think that is motive enough right there.

Don't underestimate the POS.   True, every thing he does turns out wrong for the country, the economy and the citizens.

He would be stupid if that wasn't his plan.

The more he drags the country down, the better his plan is working.

My call is he will build to a confrontation, near the end of his term, and if We The People don't cave, he will declare martial law, suspend elections and keep stirring the pot.

If we do cave, it's on to bigger and better destruction of the country.

     Don't get me wrong.  I think he's trying to downsize our country.  But in his head, that's what is best for America.  The peasant class in this country has too much, uses too much electricity, and this country is shamefully powerful and prosperous.  We only have what we have because we stole it from the brown people of the world.  It is his responsibility to bring social justice.  That is what is best for America, because that is what is best for the world, and America needs to be humbled before the poor, oppressed peoples of the world that we have intentionally and enthusiastically held down since 1776.
     Of course, the political class won't suffer any, and should probably get more benefits, since they're doing the Lord's work.
     I just don't think he's looking for a fight doing it.  He expects everyone to be so amazed with how smart and wonderful he is that they don't argue.
