i remember watching a documentry about it, from the testing they did, some of the things the doctors did actually made it worse.

Doctors possibly kill more people than guns..... I guess that's why they call it a license to 'practice'.

The really sad part iss how much protection the doctors have from both legal and each other.  From my understanding much like car insurance claims, 90% of claims are made by 10% of the people.    i do know ob/gyn clains are 10 to 1 against all other doctors.

Because their on the hook for 18 years +1. (in my state at least) Quite a few hospitals don't have Labor & Delivery anymore.
If your kid is a dip$#!+, some bottom feeder wants you to file suit because they can find something in the birth medical record to hang on the doc saying "This caused brain damage!".
Lord knows it couldn't be because the kid is just a dip$#!+.
