What can I say? Dennis Leary (?) said it best - chicks dig jerks.
"I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do this to others and I require the same from them"

THe trick is to be just enough of a jerk to get them not to love you, but enough of a nice guy to get them in bed.  I have never understood it, but thats women.   that or the attraction to people that don't work( running a home is work)  i have no issue with being the provider or the home maker, but to just sit on your butt all day and do nothing i will never understand.
I always break all the clay pigeons,  some times its even with lead.

Your friend is willing to take the crumbs of this relationship and no one can help him until it is over. This may be the kind of life he craves and he may find another just like her to replace this one.

My cousin spent most of his adult life with a woman who treated him horribly, I can not think of even one positive thing to say about her.  He had other bad relationships both before and after so it must have been what he was looking for and he never seemed to regret being with that type of woman.
