problems with Remington/ H&R Handirifle
« on: April 12, 2014, 04:41:01 PM »
Take this for what it's worth,  sometime in February I sent my H&R Handi to Remington to have a .357, and 410 barrel fitted for it, they returned it with just the .357 barrel although they charged me for both, after more than a week of talking to the people at Remington they decided that they hadn't made the .410 barrel after all and said they'd refund my money.    I think that anybody can make a mistake, so I sent the action back again on 4-3-14 to try again to get a .410 barrel.   On 4-12-14 I received my AMX. bill and on 3-19-14 Remington charged me  $2948.93.  I don't know if that was for the .357, the .410, or me complaining about it.   I do plan to find out, AMX said not to pay it, thats why I use AMX.

The moral of the story is, unless you have a lot of money in savings or a good credit rating stay away from Remington, it also helps to have a good sense of humor and a lot of patients, because these folks have no idea what they're doing.  HAVE FUN

What did they quote you as the price for these barrels in the first place?
You can say lots of bad things about pedophiles; but at least they drive slowly past schools.

The total was $240. and they sent back $84.00 because they didn't send the .410.   So I guess the .410 is costing me $3,444.  Hope those Squirrels appreciate it.

No wonder there is a brisk trade in used barrels that people self fit!
