Oh, that's no good...your liver will eventually develop sentience and impose it's will upon you. You have to keep it doped up or the consequences can be devastating.

All good.  Some are just better than others.  Another way to look at them is, when you turn them upside down ... they all look or taste alike.  You know, kind of like the sorority girls we dated in college.

Some of the best Mexican beers have German roots.  Once upon a time, there were some German brewers that got tired of shoveling snow and living next door to France.  So ... they jumped a boat and headed to Mexico.  Now ... you know the rest of the story.  Or ... that's my story and I am sticking to it.

Now that I am thinking of beer ... must go find some.

Heard the German story, sounds reasonable.  Lot of German influence in Mexico.

After at least a couple of six packs, then they started tasting and looking good.

I finally tried Sam Adams and like it better than any other beer I've had in the last couple of years. I just finished my Cherry Wheat (with real Michigan cherries) and have to switch back to Boston Lager. They had a few other flavors at the store too. I want to try them all but the Summer Ale was only in cases and not 6-packs. The way I remember it Heinekin wasn't very good but neither is some of the domestic beer. I used to say Grolsch was GROSS but I liked the bottles because flippies are so unusual. I should buy one and save the bottle. I tried Foster's in the 23-ounce "oil cans" and didn't like it. I never had Corona but heard the reason people put a lime in it is that Corona tastes like donkey p!$$.

Any others besides Sam Adams that are worth buying?

Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the act of depriving a whole nation of arms, as the blackest.

Budweiser all the way.  They use rice instead of wheat, it just agrees with my system.  And I like the taste too.  One beer I do avoid is Miller High Life.  They use a clear bottle and as a result go heavy on the preservatives.  Headache beer.

Remember those 75cent little nips of Rolling Rock at the Mug?  We used to drink it because it was the cheapest stuff they had, now it's yuppie beer.    By the way, Anheiser Busch bought out Rolling Rock and moved production out of Latrobe Pa., idlling the plant.  Fortunately Sam Adams is putting it back into production and saving the town.  I guess you know that you shouldn't order a Bud in Latrobe unless you're looking for a black eye :)

If you enjoy the fruit flavored beers, I tried one in Maine a few years ago that was awesome.  It was a blueberry wheat bear, but for the life of me I can't remember the brewer.  If I'm not mistaken it had the word "dog" in it (Salty Dog, maybe?)  I am pretty sure it was an off shoot of Shipyard.  Maybe some of our friendly Yanks can help a little here since that's their neck of the woods.  Tombogan?

I never even tried a fruit-flavored beer until I decided to try a Smirnoff Ice a last month and now I'm willing to try just about anything. The Cherry Wheat didn't taste fruity at all but I could smell the cherries. The Boston Lager tases like Lager and not like one of those corn and rice cereal beers like Bud. Come on guys. Tell me what else is good that I can get without going back to Germany.

Jkwas,
Excuse my ignorance, but where is the "Plywood State"?
