Holosun Red Dot should be here today.  At 3.6 ounces and $165 it fits the theme of this build, light & cost effective.  ;D

I'll post pictures when I get it mounted.

Which model?  The HS403A?   Does it have the auto wake feature?   Interested in how that works and in battery life.

Will work for ammo

Yes Alf, it's a 403A. Constant on with an advertised life of 50,000 hours or was it 5,000?  I got it Friday:

Un-boxed it:

Mounted it:

Took the wife out to the range with me on Saturday and sighted it in. I usually will eyeball an optic but I figured I'd mess with it if it wasn't on paper at 50 yards. It was. 6" low and 6" left. Had it sighted in after about 10 rounds.  Reached out to 100 yards and started putting hits on a 6" plate. Even shot it on edge, 1/4" a couple of times when it twisted.  ;D

Rifle with optic is just over 5.7lbs for right around $1200.
