Exactly.

The deputy manning the detector at the admin building is a nice guy...but where he sits, he's an easy target. Anyone could walk into the front door completely armed and just pop him in the noggin before he knew what happened...... then it would be easy pickin's from there on out..... no one else in the building is armed unless a municipal judge is packin'.

That's what happened in at least one shooting in DC.

SecureID?  Is that the Real ID initiative?  In Oklahoma we are not complying with it:  http://www.tulsaworld.com/business/aerospace/real-id-law-may-complicate-travel-for-oklahoma-driver-s/article_e970e3d1-39a6-55b5-911e-d5db030a56c6.html  Of course, the article is so much hand wringing because conservatives have blocked Real ID.

This will cause some issues for us.  However, having a machine readable document that contains all the necessary biometric information for surveillance and tracking is still not secure.  And hey, who needs a Real ID??? Syrian documents are just peachy, right?

OK...soap box...don't know if you are talking about Real ID but I had to get a jab in....
Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.
