It's just above freezing but may dip down to 31 for an hour. It should happen very soon if it happens tonight.

That's what I heard.  It's a bit confusing because the Old Farmer's Almanac (since 1792) is going to stay in business.  It's the Farmer's Almanac (since 1818) that is going out of print next year. 

I know I have been confused by the difference in names but the Old Farmer's Almanac is the little yellow book that I think I am familiar with from my childhood.  I wish my folks were still alive so I could ask them.

I thought there was only ONE Farmer's Almanac, the Old one. The one that predicts the weather right a year ahead of time better than the NWS does a week ahead of time.

5:30 AM it's dark and cold outside.  24 degrees and likely will dip a bit more before sunup.

Time to feed the horses.

Not too bad ATM. Low 30s, just above freezing. But we had about 5" of wet, hard-packing snow. My weather app says it feels like 25, but I didn't think it felt that bad earlier in the afternoon.

Well, it's up to 31 right now.  It's not going to get more than a degree or two warmer if at all.  Snow flurries now.

This is supposed to happen late January.  I'm not ready for this now!
