Hunting is the purpose for this can.  Just to take the edge of the .458 SOCOM when out in the field.

If it helps make my .22 pistol with .22 CBs impossible to hear, well there's that.   After all I'm a no-discharge-unless-in-self-defense county.  Hate for some neighbor to think I was shooting Chipmunks with a .22lr.

Sort of off topic, I'd never done it, but used my weak hand thumb to hold the bolt in place on my 22/45 while I fired it.  Felt just a little "thump" nothing else.   I knew it was not a problem to hold a .22lr just had never tried it.    Haven't worked up the nerve to hold my P320 yet though I've seen it done.

The CIA had a small latch added to their High-Standard .22s to hold them closed, so there was no sound of movement after the firing pin strike. They or else Mossad did the same thing to Ruger Mark 1 or Mark 11 pistols too, but I don't recall seeing pictures them. I just remember reading about them. And since when is off topic "off topic"? ;)

The time for action is upon us and the enemy is at our gates. Let us not allow them one more inch of advancement but instead throw them through the gates of Hell.

IT'S HERE.   MY TAX STAMP ARRIVED.

Took possession of my baby.

First thing I did was screw it on my 10/22 and fire of some CBs.  About the same noise as my .22 Air Rifle.    And of course CBs are NOT powerful enough to operate the bolt so minimal noise there as well.

Next experiment will be with my PC9.

I'll have to figure a way to lock the bolt on my 10/22 as well as my 22/45 and the PC9.

I can't wait to take it up to the outdoor range and shoot it on the .458S.   I've shot it indoors and it's hard to tell anything.

Will work for ammo
