Great nations rise and fall. The people go from bondage to spiritual truth, to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency, from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back again to bondage. Where are we now??????

You did post it here ...  The first post of this thread...

I can't remember that far back. I didn't post it here lately. ;)

The last thing I ate was a Pop-Tart. The first thing I ate today was a bowl of Woodward Ave Chili (no beans), Michigan's only canned chili. When I started reading the ingredients and saw beef and pork I was :). Then I saw it had textured soy protein in it and I was :'(. It still tasted good but it had oil floating on top of it. I'm surprised I didn't get heartburn. BTW, Woodward Avenue (Highway M-1) was the location of the first mile of concrete-paved roadway in the country.

I made homemade cheesecake (not that crappy no-bake foolishness) the other day.....good with or without topping.

Right now the wife's in the process of prepping for the kids and grand-kids to come for supper. It's our older granddaughter's 10th birthday so we're having cubed steak fried and then slow simmered in onion/mushroom gravy along with peas and rice and probably biscuits.
Probably have some 12 layer cake thrown in for good measure since that is her favorite (PaPa's too).

How did you fix it?
Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.
