Time To Pause
« on: September 08, 2008, 01:07:04 PM »
As we are dealing with Monday morning challenges and day to day problems, an email was sent to me from a friend.

Marshal and I stopped ..took a break.. and watched and listened in total silence to Baxter Black.
I wiped a tear away as Marshal said, " What we are dealing with now .... sorting out problems, lack of communications between people, politics, and the daily dose of bills and headaches... all of this really doesn't matter when you look at the big picture. We should all start the day ..every day... listening to the words of Baxter Black and appreciate living in the free world.

Thanks M'ette.

Mr. Black has added another name to my facial hair envy list.

You're not kidding! I'll bet he has to send that thing out to the groomer every other week.
I enjoy eating way to much to have a dust brush like that in the way.

That's definately not a typical flavor saver. He could wring out that 'stache for leftovers.

I thought I saw it move.  :o
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington. He was just a dog,...

Sometimes the simplest way to express something is to have the right orator keep it plain English.

Great post, although, I will have to try the rawhide recipe at another time..... :P
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.
