Hackers tend to lean more toward Microsoft simply because of percentages. There are more of them than Apple. There have been some REALLY NASTY viruses released aimed at Apple devices but because there are not as many of them in business use we don't hear about them.
I knew I couldn't have been the only one who heard about that. A lot of the Apple people who "caught a virus", Trojan, or other malware, didn't think they could get one. Since I got Malwarebytes Premium (the paid version) on my desktop, I haven't had any problems. I got infected with ransomware when I had Norton or McAfee free from Comcast. Now Comcast says you don't need it, so they don't provide it anymore, but you should still have it. WTF? Make up your mind, Comcast! Malwaybytes has Web Protection, Malware Protection, Ransomware Protection, and Exploit Protection running constantly. Plus I have it set to keep updating itself and run scans every day. My older brother, AKA the idiot, says Malwarebytes is only good for scanning your computer after it's infected, not protecting it from viruses. That may be true of the free version, but between Windows Firewall and Malwarebytes Premium, I'm good. The idiot was using Avast or AVG free antivirus when I asked him years ago, both of which collect your information and sell it. And EVERY expert on the internet that I've seen says, if you think your computer is infected with ANYTHING, download the free version of Malwarebytes and scan your computer. That should tell you how good it works, when the free version that's missing most of its features is recommended by everyone to fix your infected computer.
