NYC Assasination
« on: December 06, 2024, 11:42:36 AM »
Rumors fly rampant all over the media.  Both msm and social.

SO MUCH mis-info because people are in a rush.  Reliable new stories report the words on the casings were Deny, Defend, Depose.    NOT DISPOSE.

Some wild speculation the gun was a https://bt-usa.com/station-6/ but there's soooo much speculation.  https://bt-usa.com/station-6/

And while statistically it's probably a man, I'm not 100% sure that has been confirmed either.

"Police believe the shooter used a B&T Station Six, known in Britain as a Welrod pistol. The gun does not have a silencer but rather a long barrel that enables the 9mm to fire a nearly silent shot." Wrong, wrong, wrong, and wrong. It has a 3" barrel, and no barrel is long enough to make it silent unless the bullet doesn't make it out the muzzle. If it's so long that friction overcomes the bullet's momentum, that's one extremely long barrel. Several feet long in fact.

The outlets are bringing in all their "experts." Every retired "professional" is getting their fifteen minutes of fame.  At this point the only thing I will go with is that it was a targeted shooting specifically aimed at Brian Thompson. It was aimed at Brian as the individual or Brian as the person holding the position within the system.

As this moves forward and they excitement and joy over revenge for insurance costs subsides, someone is going to decide it is time to attack guns again. When we head down that path it is time to hold to the fact that it wasn't a gun that committed this murder. It was a criminal with irrational rage and anger. We can be thankful that he chose a tool that only took one life, as opposed to an item like a pipe or firebomb that would kill and injure many.

As far as for solving this crime: They have several very clear photos of this shooter, including his full face, and they have enough items surrounding him in the photos to have accurate size descriptions. He will be caught!

Recent reports suggest they have DNA from a bottle, plus they found the backpack he was supposedly carrying.  If this dude hasn't already taken himself out, he is eminently findable.  The NYPD speculate he caught a bus back to Atlanta.  Atlanta cops say they will cooperate.  I think it should end soon.

I'm not sure, Rabbit.

If the guy did this on his own, he was careful but sloppy in some ways. If he skedaddled into the mountains of northern Georgia with a pre-planned hideout, they won't find him for a while. Think the Atlanta bomber.

With all of the "clues" coming out, the only thing I can think of was that if this was a pro hit, every one of those "clues" is possibly a misdirection. And if he was a pro, he is either dead or out of the country.

I'm leaning toward a PO'd amateur. The expensive clothes (Hermes shoes? Really? And a $400 jacket? What's wrong with Wal-Mart stuff, especially if you want to be untraceable) speak to this. Also,  the alleged bus ride smacks of mimicking Jack Reacher.

Time will tell.

I bet if you search claims that were denied recently( last couple of years)  you will find his name or a family member of him.

I would start with the ones that people died because of it.

From the surveillance video, it looks as if the gun didn't cycle worth a damn. They showed him racking the slide 3 or 4 times. And they found loaded rounds as well as empties on the sidewalk.

Except if it were a Station 6, which is a mag fed, single shot, then the actions were normal.
