I came within about two minutes from buying a P239, the "Compact" (sort of). I found it pretty top heavy for a small pistol so I decided to wait until I was able to shoot one. As far as being compact, yea it's a little smaller but it's no lighter than my Para .45 LTC at 28 oz.. I think the Sig is 27.5 oz empty.
Has anyone had the opprotunity to shoot the P239 and if so, besides it's accuracy (outstanding), how did it feel? I'd appreciate any feedback. I really enjoy the others that I've shot so the decision is still in the percolator...

My P239 was my everyday carry gun for years. Yes it's a bit heavier than a G 26 but I never, never, never had a single failure to go bang.
It probably has 15,000 rounds through it. The single stack makes it very easy to conceal in a FIST Kydex IWB holster. I use Corbon DPX 115 grain ammo.
I know Vicki Farnam carried one in .357 Sig and she found it much less wear and tear on her than the 40 S&W round. I think her's was a DAK trigger, mine is the decockable standard version.
I admit I carry a Glock 19 more often but I do have absolute faith in the the P239.
