DOJ Unleashes on Blue States with Major Case that Could Restore Concealed Carry Rights for Millions of Americans

https://theamericantribune.com/doj-unleashes-on-blue-states-with-major-case-that-could-restore-concealed-carry-rights-for-millions-of-americans/

"In a move that has won widespread acclaim from conservatives, the DOJ, under AG Pam Bondi, filed a friend-of-the-court brief supporting a Supreme Court challenge to Hawaii’s post-Bruen law, which criminalizes concealed carry on private, publicly accessible properties without explicit permission. According to the DOJ, this law is “blatantly unconstitutional” and an evasion of Second Amendment rights. <snip>"

But please pay attention to the other upcoming lawsuits.

O watch armed scholor on YouTube. While things are generally going our way BUT the "new" DOJ has not always supported 2A the way you think they should. The DOJ is still supporting registering SBR and suppressors, stating it is lawful and being implemented like a shall-issue CCW. There are other issues as well that the "new" DOJ are failing the 2A test.

For more info keep up with him at https://www.youtube.com/@ArmedScholar

And never will. It's about who has the power, the states or DOJ.

And if one Congress zeroes the taxes but keeps the registry, the next can jack it to $2000, $200,000, anything they want. The only thing that stops them is either a Full Repeal (may the skies open up and eternally dump pungent yellow rain upon that hack Senate Parliamentarian and all who support her because NFA declared itself a TAX law in line one) or a strikedown as Unconstitutional.

There are various suits trying to do that. If we don't get it during this administration, I don't believe we ever will. Getting SBR's and suppressors off the list will be just a start. You and I both know the NFA created by Miller vs. US in 1934 was a wrong decision and has been misrepresented ever since the NFA was passed. Taxes or not, the whole thing, as you said, is unconstitutional from the get-go. We have (almost) the perfect Supreme Court to overturn it. The right case needs to come along. IMHO

I am old enough to remember buying dynamite at the feed store.  Anyone could buy dynamite if they had the cash (hardly any credit cards back then).  My dad told the story of him and his brothers, 8-13 years old, buying 1/2 a case of dynamite to make a swimming hole...yep...young 'uns could buy it too way back when.  And yes...they made a swimming hole and scared my great aunt to death when they did it...she broke glass and threw it in their new pool to keep them out of it.

Used to be you could order a rifle from Sears, Montgomery Wards or whoever and have it delivered by the US Post Office....and pay for it with a check.  You had to wait 2-3 weeks for the check to clear and then they would send the gun.

And to fly on an airplane with your gun as a carryon...it had to be in a case and fit over your head otherwise you had to check it without all the hoopla.  Later you had to check it.  Then there came the dreaded cavity search days we now enjly ( NOT! ).
