When I ordered 2 more Universal Cheekrest Spacers for the TITAN Universal Cheekrest kit from Victor Company USA, I also ordered 2 3-packs of Grippy Gun Bands. They're made from EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) rubber. This synthetic rubber is used for things like rubber roof membranes, so you know they're tough. They're thicker and tougher than the ranger bands I have that look like pieces of bicycle inner tube. Those are good for strapping things down like big rubber bands, but these are better for grips. I cut one in half with a pair of scissors. I didn't measure, I just eyeballed it, and it cut really easily. I put 1 1/2 on my full-size .45, and 1 each on the compact and sub-compact .45s that have the same shortened mainspring housing. I had 2 1/2 bands left and put them on the pistol grip of my shotgun. The grip is wide from front to back but narrow side to side. The narrow hard plastic feels better with rubber over it. Where I have more than one band, the fit isn't exactly seamless, but can be played with a moment until they're very close. I didn't get any for my ARs because they both have rubber over-molded grips already. They're $5.99, or 2 bucks a pop, but should last for several years, if not decades.
